The above information will be used on the registration papers unless the bottom part of this contract is filled out.
1. A pet PUPPY is defined here to be a West Highland White Terrier PUPPY and embodies the characteristics of the West Highland White Terrier breed. This PUPPY is purebred and the litter has been registered with the American Kennel Club.
2. This PUPPY is registered with an unlimited registration, which will allow registering offspring from this PUPPY and conformation showing. IF FOUND THAT THIS ARROWHEAD ACRES WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER HAS BEEN REGISTERED UNDER ANOTHER REGISTRAR (I.E. CKC) FOR PRODUCTION BREEDING OR USED FOR MIX BREEDING, THIS CONTRACT WILL HAVE BEEN BREACHED AND WILL RENDER THIS CONTRACT AND ITS CONTENTS NULL AND VOID.
3. The BREEDER guarantees the above described PUPPY has received the appropriate shots and worming schedule for the PUPPY’S age. Below is a health record detailing the treatment the PUPPY has received under the BREEDER’S care. The BREEDER does not assume any liability for injury or medical cost after delivery or pick up.

4. The BUYER has three working days from date of purchase or delivery (unless otherwise stated due to travel etc.) to take the PUPPY to a veterinarian for an initial check-up. If the PUPPY is found to have a serious health problem and written documentation of the condition is presented from the examining veterinarian, and verified by SELLER’S veterinarian, SELLER will exchange for healthy PUPPY of same breed, sex, and quality when available. Provided PUPPY and registration papers are returned within 14 days. Any related shipping or medical costs would be the responsibility of the BUYER.

5. This PUPPY is guaranteed against life threatening congenital defects until it’s 2nd birthday. If such defect is found BUYER must provide written documentation from a licensed veterinarian at the time of the diagnosis of the congenital defect, and SELLER has option to have condition verified by SELLER’S veterinarian. The BUYER then has two options:
a. Exchange the PUPPY for a healthy PUPPY of same breed, sex, and quality, when available, with all travel/shipping charges at BUYER’S expense.
b.Choose to keep the PUPPY and when or if the PUPPY expires at an early age (before the age of 7) as a result of the congenital defect, that was documented before the PUPPY’S 2nd birthday, SELLER will replace with a healthy puppy of same breed, sex, and quality when available with all travel charges at BUYER’S expense. At this time another written statement from BUYER’S veterinarian stating the cause of death must be provided. SELLER has the option to have cause of death verified by SELLER’S veterinarian.
6. If this PUPPY dies from a SUSPECTED congenital defect before its 2nd birthday an autopsy must be performed at BUYER’S expense and cause of death verified by a licensed veterinarian with written documentation, and confirmed by SELLER’S veterinarian, before a replacement PUPPY will be provided. Registration papers must also be returned to SELLER.
7. This PUPPY is sold as a PUPPY with show potential. If this PUPPY develops any conformation traits before his 1st birthday that would DISQUALIFY this PUPPY from the show ring and written documentation from an AKC judge is provided to the BREEDER and written documentation of a spay or neuter, from a licensed veterinarian, is provided to the BREEDER, the BREEDER will refund the difference of $_____ in the pet quality & show potential price.
8. This PUPPY is sold as a PUPPY with breeding potential. If this PUPPY develops any health issues that would prevent or not be ethical or safe for the PUPPY to be bred at least once before the PUPPY'S 3rd birthday and written documentation of the problem is provided and written documentation of a spay neuter is provided by a licensed veterinarian to the BREEDER the BREEDER will refund the difference of $______ in the pet quality price and the breeding potential price.
9. BUYER agrees to have annual veterinary checkups, including heartworm check; keep all immunizations current according to AVMA guidelines; properly administer heartworm preventative; provide adequate housing according to state law. BUYER agrees to keep PUPPY safe with a fenced in yard or walks on leashes, NOT TIED ON A CHAIN OR ROPE. There are many factors that can influence growth, development, and health. BUYER assumes the responsibility to carry on with appropriate diet, exercise, flea control, feeding and grooming schedules.
10. The BUYER hereby agrees that if at any time the BUYER can not take proper care of the PUPPY, the BUYER must contact the BREEDER and the BREEDER will have the first choice to either:
a. Take the PUPPY back.
b.
Assist the BUYER in finding a suitable home.
11.BUYER agrees to use the prefix “Arrowhead’s” in the PUPPY’S AKC registered name.
12.SELLER is bound by all agreements to the original BUYER only, unless PUPPY is given as a gift, surprise etc. and the bottom part of this contract is filled out.
13. No warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made under this contract except as stated above.
14. This contract can serve as a deposit contract if at a later date BUYER wishes to upgrade to an unlimited registration status for this PUPPY.
15. It is strongly recommended that BUYER complete at least eight obedience classes within the first year, and that the PUPPY be professionally groomed every six to eight weeks, after the complete series of puppy shots have been given.
16. The use of a crate is strongly recommended for housebreaking and safety.
17. We recommend that BUYER take this agreement and shot records to BUYER’S veterinarian. The information provided here in will assist BUYER’S veterinarian in setting the PUPPY up on his/her recommended schedule (i.e. heartworm treatment, flea program, remaining vaccines).
